Lillian Breland
Paralegal
Overview
Lillian M. Breland is a Paralegal with Bey & Associates and brings more than 46 years of experience in the legal profession. Working with the firm’s New Orleans team, she assists attorneys with litigated matters through legal research, client communication, drafting pleadings, scheduling, follow-up, and other case-management responsibilities. She also works with clients involved in the Roundup and Suboxone multidistrict litigation matters.
Before joining Bey & Associates, Lillian spent more than 20 years with a New Orleans plaintiffs’ firm, where much of her work involved complex multidistrict litigation, including Propulsid, Vioxx, Chinese Drywall, Xarelto, and BP Oil matters. Her legal career began at age 17 through a high-school work program, and she has remained in the profession ever since. She has also completed paralegal coursework through the University of New Orleans.
Lillian believes consistent communication is essential to excellent client service. She makes herself available to clients, follows up closely with attorneys, and works to ensure clients understand what is happening in their cases. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and traveling. She and her husband are members of the Order of Glaucus in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, where they volunteer in support of community events, charitable efforts, and scholarships.
