Overview

Kelli Byers-Hooper serves as Of Counsel at Bey & Associates, LLC, where she focuses her practice on serious injury and wrongful death cases. Based in the firm’s Atlanta office, her civil litigation practice includes a particular focus on trucking litigation. In 2025 alone, she settled cases totaling $10 million collectively.

Kelli earned her Juris Doctor in 2007 from Cumberland School of Law. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver in 1995 and earned a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2001. While pursuing her Master of Public Health, she managed clinical trials at UCLA Medical Center, an experience that adds a distinct perspective to her legal background.

Her professional experience also includes work in family law and with the City of Atlanta. In addition to her litigation practice, Kelli is a mediator with a local mediation and neutral office and is a Board-Certified Trucking Attorney. She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and Texas.

Kelli is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and has participated in the American Association for Justice Leadership Academy and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers Leadership Academy. She is also a frequent speaker and published author on litigation strategy, advocacy, and the evolving role of technology in law.

In 2022, Kelli was featured on Law.com for her participation in a national gathering of women attorneys supporting Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. The gathering reflected a shared commitment to justice, professional excellence, advocacy, and unity within the legal community.

Outside of her legal practice, Kelli is involved with the Morehouse Parents Council, her church, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
